Broom Making Kit: Handbrooms!

Experience the hand craft of weaving! Join master weaver Cynthia Main and unlock the fun of this traditional and practical craft. You’ll learn to weave beautiful Appalachian-style hand brooms. We’re so excited to share this experience with you!

This is a fun and accessible craft that leaves you with four practical brushes to keep or give. Let’s keep crafting y’all!

Included in this kit are:

*enough organic broomcorn to make four hand brooms, grown at Lazy Eight Stock Farms

*colored nylon thread for weaving made by Main Thread (choose up to 2 thread colors in the notes section at checkout: Black, Green, Blue Multi, Red, Grey, Neon Pink, Blue, Cream or Mint- in order, as pictured)

*a small dowel to stabilize the string spool with your feet as you weave

*access to a video tutorial

*instructions for weaving in a 20-page recycled, sewn spine booklet made by Lickety Split Press in Northern Kentucky, with photos by Christina Stallard Photography

*a letter-pressed welcome card

*boxes made of 100% recycled material (made in Colorado and Tennessee)

SPECIFICATIONS:

Kits ship within one week of ordering. Scissors are needed, but not included. Broom dimensions are 17.25”x10.25”x3”.

ADD-ON OPTIONS: Add reeds to make a woven top on 2 of your brooms: includes dowel as well for an extra 15.00.
